Saj is proud to be an IEN and has a background in advanced clinical practice (ACP).

He is currently Director of ACP at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS trust and co-chair of HEE’s national ACP inclusivity group.

Saj has a wealth of experience supporting IENs. He is a member of the CNO’s International Nursing Association Diaspora Group, National joint secretary and nurses’ forum co-ordinator for UUKMA, involved with providing pastoral support to IENs.

Saj has organised various national events for IENs and their families - social, cultural and professional – as well as regional and local level events addressing the barriers of ethnic minority nurses in career progression.
