Rachel is a GP in Sheffield and runs the GP Trailblazer scheme, supporting Post CCT GPs working in areas of deprivation across the UK. Rachel’s interest in leadership was sparked by a health equity leadership fellowship with health educational England during her training and continues to explore this in her ongoing roles particularly how effective leadership can tackle health inequities. She feels everyone would benefit from support and time for personal and professional development to fulfil their leadership potential. She strongly believes in compassionate leadership, surrounding yourself with enthusiastic and likeminded people and thinking about tackling health inequities in everything that we do.
